With a career spanning M&A, deep resource strategy, and multi-billion-dollar tech ventures, Joel now serves as Executive Director of Metal Logic, where he’s helping drive a bold industrial play: the creation of scalable, zero-emission green steel that undercuts black carbon steel on cost.

Armed with a Bachelor of Commerce, a Graduate Diploma in Geoscience, and the rigour of the Chartered Accountants program, Joel cut his teeth at PwC in Transaction Services, working on acquisitions and divestments across multiple industries. Joel has become known for spotting value where others missed it — not just on paper, but in the dirt, the data, and the execution.

Over the last 15 years, Joel has helmed a private investment fund focused on mining, exploration, and frontier industrials. His fingerprints are on everything from early-stage exploration wins to the strategic playbooks of ASX-listed entities. He’s sat at boardroom tables that matter — and helped scale a technology business to an $8.4 billion valuation and growing, he knows what value creation looks like — and how to manufacture it. At Metal Logic, Joel’s remit is surgical:

• Identify underappreciated assets with untapped economic and regional leverage,
• Align the IP, resource base, and modular infrastructure into a rollout engine,
• And activate a platform that turns sub-viable deposits into strategic feedstock for the global shift to clean, low-cost steel.
